Big digital clock by sertion Big digital clock by sertion
My first ever Rainmeter skin. Thanks to Alex2539 @ freenode.net for the help.

It's a digital clock using the ISO 8601-standard (Hours [DOT] minutes [Colon] seconds) and it also features the weekday and the number of the week (week starts Monday).

It is possible to get the number of the day in the month in this skin by editing both of the .inc-files replacing the %W with %d. This will, however, not display the number of the month.

Changelog:
Version 2 (2011-06-28):
• Added the long awaited AM/PM variants
• Replaced .zip-file with self installing .rmskin-file
Version 1 (2010-11-22):
• Uses include-file for clock and themes
• Added summer-theme
Version 0 (2010-01-10):
• Initial version

It's the week, not the date.

Completely amazing clock, but I do have a question. Today is the 9th, but my clock displays the 19th. Is there any way to fix this?

Thank you!

The number in the background is not the date it's the number of the week starting on Mondays. There should be a comment early on telling how to change this.

Where you can find your installed Rainmeter-skins go to Sertion\Big digital clock\ and open up clockbase.inc (or clockbase [am-pm].inc) and add the following text right below "[MeasuresDay]":

Substitute="Monday":"Måndag","Tuesday":"Tisdag","Wednesday":"Onsdag","Thursday":"Torsdag","Friday":"Fredag","Saturday":"Lördag","Sunday":"Söndag"

That line would make all the days appear in swedish. To get other languages you'll need to change it yourself. I don't actually have Rainmeter installed right now, but this should work.

In the .inc-files at the top you can change the %W to %d. This will replace the week to the number of the day in the month.

Today is the 26th, and my computer (and my other rainmeter date widgets) show it as the 26th.
This one however shows it as the 30th.

Is this a bug or something?

I think you are mistaking the number in the back for the date. It is actually the number of the week.

If you edit the .inc-files that came with the skin you can change the %W at the top to %d. This will replace the week to the number of the day in the month.

The date displayed is taken from the time in your operating system. How to change the date for your operating system I do not know.

To install this skin you need to download the zip-file and unpack it's content (the 'Sertion'-folder) in your "Documents/Rainmeter"-folder.

Fantastic, perfect. It fits seamlessly with other Enigma skins, especially just floating out in the middle of the desktop.

I'm almost ashamed to say, though... I completely decimated it. What I'm using looks nothing like what I first downloaded... ._.

Thank you for your kind words and feedback!

Being able to customise downloaded skins I have found to be one of the best features of Rainmeter. To get both the inspiration and a template for making that perfect desktop. I'm happy I could help.

Change %W on line 31 to %d for the number of the day in the month or to %m to get the number of the month.

If you want both the month and the day it will, most likely, require some additional editing.

I'm completely new to Rainmeter and I've been looking around for a nice clock. I gotta say, I love this one.

When I was editing the colours of the numbers, the notepad file had stretched all the coding so that it only took up two horizontal lines (which means a long horizontal scroll bar). When I copied the coding into Word Pad, the code was spaced out properly. Is this normal? If so, how would I configure rainmeter so it tries to edit skins via wordpad?

Also, is there a way to have outline the numbers with a different colour (to improve contrast with any wallpaper). If not, that's fine.

Once again, brilliant skin :)

Thank you. I might add a slight outline to it at a later time or even upload a similar clock but in different colours.

About the text-file in notepad: That's normal, I saved it in UNIX-format and notepad (in Microsoft Windows) don't understand the line-breaks that 'format' uses.

Change the %H on line 41 to %I. This will not make so that it shows a pm/am-marker but it will make it go from 12 to 01.

Awesome. Thanks. It worked. I'm not sure though, but it's been showing the wrong date as well though. Right now it should say the 8th, but it says the 6th.
